DNA testing helps to find Madeleine
Portuguese Police already has gotten the first results of the DNA tests that will be contrasted with the suspects. Four years old Madeleine McCann was kidnapped two weeks ago in a hotel located in Algarve, Portugal.
The genetic profiles obtained within the framework of the investigation of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, the 4 years old girl abducted from a hotel South of Portugal, will be compared with the possible suspects, and even with their relatives. The first DNA results made by the Legal Medicine Institute are already are in hands of the Portuguese Police that investigates the kidnapping of the young Madeleine, occurred in the room she was sharing with her two brothers in Algarve. So far, two suspects are being held in relation with the kidnapping. The Briton Rober Murat, 33 years old is the main suspect for the Portuguese Police, and the Russian Sergei Malinké, 22. Madeleine McCann’s parents had made inquiries to hire private detectives since the official investigations were not being successful. Also, Gerry McCann and his wife Kate are embarked in an effort to get international attention about the case. British police, in addition, asked the English tourists who were near the Portuguese locality of Praia da Luz when Madeleine disappeared, to hand over any photos they had taken during those days. The “Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre” (CEOP) is an agency of protection of the childhood in Internet and fight against paedophils. CEOP staffers are actively examining thousand photos per hour and comparing against a database of suspects. So far, the investigation is centered in the relation of Murat with Malinka. Murat declared that he was in his house the night when Madeleine disappeared and rejected any responsibility in the case. The Russian said that he did not speak with Murat since a year ago, but sources near the case confirmed that both communicated the night of the disappearance.
